Thanks to the generosity of Webb Wiggins, former professor at the Oberlin Conservatory, the Peabody Institute, and a friend of AMAM, we now have a harpsichord that allows us to continue expanding access to early music education.
The harpsichord is not just a symbol of the Baroque—it is the soul of the basso continuo, the harmonic and expressive foundation of an entire Era’s music. With this instrument, we can delve more deeply into the style, articulation, and aesthetics of the Baroque and Classical periods. Moreover, it will enhance the realization of concerts, masterclasses, and specialized workshops, further enriching the musical landscape of our city and allowing more people to discover the beauty of historical sounds in their most authentic form.
