Specializing in Baroque and Classical repertoire, Camila Toro pursued undergraduate and graduate studies with a focus on early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. She also holds a degree in musical kinesiology from the Akademie für Musik & Kinesiologie and certifications in craniosacral and polarity therapies from the Freiburger Aasgauer Cranio- und Polarity Schule.
Camila has performed as a soloist at festivals and concert series across Europe, including the Stimmen & Freunde der Alten Musik in Basel, the Kunstfest Weimar, and the Musique Baroque d’Ambronay festival. In Colombia, she has appeared at the Luis Ángel Arango Library, the Bogotá Sacred Music Festival, the Villa de Leyva Early Music Festival, and the Chiquitos Missions Music Festival in Bolivia, collaborating with ensembles such as Alba Sonora, Alfabeto, Musica Ficta, and the Bogotá Baroque Ensemble.
She has been a featured soloist with the Colombian National Symphony Orchestra, Nueva Filarmonía, and the Orchestra of Universidad de los Andes. Additionally, she portrayed Rosalba in Daniel Catán’s opera Florencia en el Amazonas at Teatro Colón in Bogotá. With over 14 years of experience in vocal pedagogy and classical singing instruction, she has taught at professional institutions in Colombia and Europe, including the voice department and opera workshop at Universidad Central in Bogotá. She was also a voice professor at L’Académie du Chœur de l’Orchestre de Paris and is currently the director of Camila Toro Estudio and Atempo in Bogotá.
